Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer who is best known as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. She then acted in several Broadway shows before becoming a star on national stage alongside Li'l Abner in. She released her album It's Too Late for Tina in the following year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood as Griselda Walden, in God's Big Acre a 1957 drama film. This movie was a big hit and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Another notable character she played as Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her with in 1964. Louise was able to balance her acting career with ease in between Broadway TV and Hollywood portraying somber characters as opposed to her image as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Sanctuary, although she made a mark as an effective television director in numerous series, including Supernatural & The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto at the age of three. Her childhood was spent in Toronto and through her teenage years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and she has settled down in Toronto ever since.
