Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal advocate and author who won several Awards. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). The daughter of a family of artists living in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of arts. The first job she had was a photo assistant. She then moved on to acting and modeling. Her first two movies were noticed and she received the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought her fame worldwide, as well an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. She was named the best female box-office star of the world after only three movies. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were immortalized in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and others. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was divorced three times.
